Cefalu is full of fun things to do that will take up your entire day, and all you have to do is simply walk the streets. Cefalu is packed with beautiful little stores and beaches that will delight everyone at the blink of an eye. A popular thing to do is to go see the Rocca and drive to the parco madonie, the park.

Castelbuono is an amazing little villa that is approximately twenty five kilometers from Cefalu, and is one of the most popular places to visit. There are many beautiful cottages and holiday apartments that are for rent all over the area. One of the most popular sites to visit, is the church of Matrice Vecchia, which was constructed during the 15th century on top of a pagan temple’s ruins. This amazing church features the statue of St. Catherine of Alexandria and a Saint that is wearing glasses, that attracts all viewer’s eyes.

Ristorante Palazzaccio is one of the amazing restaurants that Castelbuono has to offer and has that original Italian cuisine, but with an eye for traditions and territory. All of the dishes are made using local ingredients. You can host a party, a buffet breakfast, banquets, you name it. This restaurant is famous for treating customers like friends and family, the service is literally that amazing.

When visiting Cefalu, visiting the Aeolian Islands is an absolute must. Interestingly enough, two of these islands are in fact active volcanoes and full of history, sea-swimming, packed with nothing but stunning views and amazing beaches. These islands are also full of myriad Greek legends and myths and each offer their own distinct atmosphere. There is plenty of dessert wines and amazing cuisine, as well. These islands are called Filicudi, Alicudi, Vulcano, Lipari, Stromboli and Panarea. Each island can be reached by a ferry and hydrofoils that come from Milazzo. Other fun things to do are visiting the Italian lungiagge course, and reading a book at the Bastione terrace.

One of the most fun things to do while visiting Cefalu, is spending a relaxing day at the coast. The Al Faro is an amazing site to see while strolling along the Lungomare, where all of the main beaches are, which stretches for approximately half of a mile. From the Al Faro you can sit, relax and have a drink while you watch the waves crash onto the beach. There are a variety of places to stop and sit so you can enjoy the view and the smell of the sea. The northern coast is also a wonderful place to wander around for hours on end.

While in Cefalu, there are plenty of fun things you can do. Whether it’s spending a day at the coast, wandering around, shopping and tasting all the delicious food that the city has to offer, you can be sure that there is no shortage of a good time. Night or day, the city of Cefalu is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
