In Sant’Ambrogio recently opened “Donna Luna Wine and Olive Oil Shop“, located between Cefalù and Finale di Pollina. This wine shop, or enoteca, is in a central and easy-to-reach location, and was conceived as a place where tourists and residents alike can enjoy great wine.

Sant’Ambrogio is a small village, part of the municipality of Cefalù. It was rebuilt according to the local traditions following the earthquake of 1783 and is characterised by its narrow winding streets. A magical place where you can enjoy a breathtaking view and admire unique sunsets reflected on the surface of the sea and on the Rocca of Cefalù. This small village, in the recent years, has been receiving excellent reviews and deserves to be appreciated. The aim is to make it grow even more from the point of view of the services offered and improve it as a tourist destination.

This is why the “Donna Luna Wine and Olive Oil Shop” is not just a place where you can buy excellent products, but also a great place for socialising, where wine, the central theme of today’s communication, takes on the role of mediator. Moreover, as Pindaro, an ancient Greek poet once said, “[…] wine elevates the soul and the thoughts, and makes the anxiety go away from the heart […]“. A tradition that, over the centuries, remains unchanged and that over time assumes even more communicative value.

But, as the name suggests, the Donna Luna Wine and Olive Oil Shop not only aims to offer its customers excellent wine that they can enjoy in the company of their friends. In fact, here you can also buy and taste the freshest Olive Oil. When opening its doors in July 2018, together with a group of Norwegians who are fond of the small village of Sant’Ambrogio, it was decided that the next olive harvest in November would be perfect to produce a batch of the product. This initiative is a great opportunity to hold an event: an Olive Oil festival will be celebrated in the small and charming “Donna Luna Wine and Olive Oil Shop”, an ideal place to spend carefree moments, while taking in the breathtaking view of the surrounding green hills and the deep blue sea. An experience to be enjoyed with friends or on your own, with the sole intent of tasting excellent products and escaping from the daily routine for a few hours.
