valerie-paul-testimonial-cefaluWe first came to Sicily in the summer of 2005 and hired a car to explore the island with no particular plans or expectations. Our first stop was Cefalu and we immediately knew we had found somewhere very special. By the end of our vacation, we decided to return to Cefalu to view some potential properties that were for sale. Within a few months we found a villa, in the hills above Cefalu, with breathtaking views of the Tyrrenian Sea and the Aeolian Islands. We’ve been coming every year since and we now spend a significant part of each year here. From spring through to autumn, we have friends and family staying and they have all come to love Cefalu just as much as we do.

The old town is charming with picturesque narrow streets, a stunning cathedral, wonderful beach, the backdrop of the towering La Rocca and the beautiful green Madonie National Park with its mountain walks and small hilltop villages. Cefalu has a plethora of bars and restaurants ranging from simple Enotecas serving wine and snacks, to restaurants offering traditional Sicilian dishes and, in more recent years, the emergence of restaurants offering a high quality modern twist on Sicilian cuisine. Whatever you choose, you can be sure the quality of the locally sourced food and wine will be amazing.

The Sicilian people, deservedly renowned for being hospitable and friendly, create a wonderful atmosphere in the town ensuring it is always buzzing with local life and that it continues to remain busy throughout the year.
